So the good people at Haven thankfully invest some of their money each winter improving Rockley Park. Some of the work you’d not realise, but some of it has a greater impact for both owners and holiday makers alike.
For 2017 there has been investment in the lighting and improving the paths around the site, as well as improvements to the Live Lounge – which not only has had infrastructure improvements but also can look forward to a completely new entertainments team for the coming season.
Think less cabaret and more theatre – we’ve not sampled it yet but will record and report back when we do!
We have taken a sneaky peek inside the Live Lounge to get a feel for the change of stage. You can have a look too here.
We’ve also had a snoop around the Mash and Barrel bar and restaurant. That was refurbished last year with new tables and chairs, new carpets, a new menu and a new feel. Have a look here.
Long may the investments continue into what is a wonderful holiday park for all the family. It’s no wonder we love it!
If you entered our competition to win a week’s holiday at Rockley Park staying in our beautiful holiday home then listen up!
We’ve made the first draw and announced our first winner… as well as some unannounced runners up too for good measure!
If you didn’t win this time then don’t worry – we’ll keep your name in the hat for the 2018 draw!

PS – If you want to book The Rockley Retreat for your family holiday for this year then you need to be quick! Much of the summer weeks have already been booked. Email the dates you want to email@example.com :)
So for the first time this week we went crazy at Go Ape Moors Valley; just half an hour or so from Rockley Park, located within Moors Valley Country Park.
According to Go Ape, their “leafy hideout at Moors Valley Country Park is famous for its adventurous woodland play and cycling trails. Our Dorset adventure not only boasts a double Tarzan Swing it also features a Skateboard Zip for visitors to jump onboard. Go Ape Forest Segway and Tree Top Junior are also available for all to enjoy!”
So we decided to take along the GoPro and film our adventures.
Our full Go Ape review can be seen below, and we also did a shorter edit with just the zip wires – the most fun part in our eyes!
A beautiful area to discover and enjoy when visiting Rockley Park is Ham Common.
Right next to Rockley Park (and only a 2 minute stroll from The Rockley Retreat) there are many trails to discover by foot or by bike which lead to both a beautiful beach (complete with ice cream van, of course!) as well as the beautiful hidden lake!
